Some potential changes are not in fact changes yet and the question is: will they ever be?

This growth has taken China into a new level in the world politics. Now China is gradually being recognized as a huge economic power by rest of the world. Canadian Clear Cutting of Forests and Anti-Dumping Tariffs
The Canadian Timber Industry was upset previously when the US set tariffs on Canadian Lumber coming into the United States. Whether you call it an anti-dumping tariff or not would not be the only issue. You see it costs a lot to replenish and replant forests, but if you sell the timber without replanting you can do that cheaper of course.

Road Construction and Infrastructure Repairs? Not Now, Bad Move
Some politicians are calling for up-grading and repairing our infrastructure. Indeed that is a smart idea, as any time you improve the flows of your civilization you get back 10-fold in efficiency.
